Math Marvels build on their understanding of area of rectangles to find the area of triangles, special quadrilaterals, and other polygons. Math Marvels also draw polygons in the coordinate plane when given the coordinates of the vertices, and they solve problems about polygons in the coordinate plane. They learn to find the surface area of pyramids and prisms by using nets made of rectangles and triangles, and they extend their knowledge of finding volume of rectangular prisms by finding volume of rectangular prisms with fractional edge lengths. Through their learning in the Geometry domain, Math Marvels:
- Area of Polygons
- Polygons in the Coordinate Plane
- Nets and Surface Area
- Volume
